結婚式のベストマン

欧米の結婚式には仲人はいませんが、仲人的に付添人となって花婿の世話をする人を best man （あるいは groomsman）と言っています。日本でもカタカナ語としてベストマンと呼ぶこともあるようです。

The best man holds the position of groom's best friend, brother or the friend that was responsible for the couple's introduction.
ベストマン（花婿介添人）は花婿の親友や兄弟、あるいは新郎新婦を紹介した友人などが努めます

新婦の介添人は bridesmaid, best woman といいます。
